GARDEN STYLING IS A FORM OF STORYTELLING. NO TWO GARDENS ARE THE SAME, AND EVERY GARDEN'S JOURNEY IS UNIQUE.

For this reason, I shall begin this introduction with a story.

Buenos Aires meets New Orleans sounds more like a flea-market mash-up than the guiding inspiration behind my modern take on classic gardens. The story of what I like to call my green love affair with styling gardens begins in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I was born. My parents were polar opposites, but their life story speaks of the inspiring principles of sowing the seeds of love. My late father was a ship captain. He exuded quiet confidence and was a master of management. With difficult decisions to be made, his confident demeanor balanced a vessel's needs above outside influence. My mother was the artist in the relationship. True to her Italian roots, her resourceful creativity makes everything possible.

     My father tackled square-foot vegetable gardening as an exact science. He took on gardening as a hobby to engage his innate left-brain thinking. He sent soil samples to the local ag-center. He carefully outlined articles and books on the topic. He read the history of square foot gardening. On the other hand, my mother does not read labels nor cares to know the horticultural classifications of the plants that thrive under her care. He gardened analytically; she gardens emotionally. Together, their garden told a story of their union. Rambling roses formed lovely arches leading into a shaded alleyway. Meanwhile, Swiss chard was harvested in time for my mother's homemade Christmas eve ravioli dinner. 

     I garden today with an eye for the beautiful. As a licensed landscape horticulturist, I consult to help render stories of gardens and inspire visions of reinvented spaces. My passion for garden displays comes from the desire to push greenery as an art form in public and private spaces. Like the bold and defining decisions that paved and continue to shape my family's story, I offer you a bold and defining gardening style.
